Tree Mounted
Solar System
The math calculations above show a safety factor of 10.5 at
50 mile per hour winds.
Basically this means the systems structural engineering is
over the acceptable factor of 1.
At 100 mile per hour winds in ultimate conditions the safety
factor is 2.6
These custom tree mounted solar up-lighting systems were designed
and installed for these four individual ficus trees only. This
installation was challenging and labor intensive. The desired
lighting effect requires precise placement of light fixtures
to prevent illuminating the bracketology. The trees located between
light poles are much easier to light with solar energy by installing
the equipment on the poles. All light fixtures use safe low voltage
lamps.
